The Oakwood Squirrel Family
FATHER OLLIE OAKWOOD runs the Sylvanian bakery, he's always giving away cakes and buns so he's very popular with the young Sylvanians.
MOTHER BETSY OAKWOOD is always making new kinds of bread – no one knows what to expect. Once she made a loaf shaped like the Underwoods caravan.
BROTHER BARNABY OAKWOOD won't stay out of the bakery – he's full of suggestions for his mother, and sometimes she lets him make a cake.
SISTER BLUEBELL OAKWOOD likes shopping. She spends a lot of time in Rocky Babblebrook's store buying ingredients for her mother.
BABY BROTHER ACORN OAKWOOD is the nosiest child in Sylvania. He never wants to go to bed, especially in the summer when it's still light outside.
BABY SISTER ABBIE OAKWOOD is exactly the opposite of her brother. Good as gold and the sweetest child you could hope to meet.
The Oakwood Squirrel family were one of the Original families of the Sylvanian range, launched in the UK in 1988. They are also one of a very small amount of families to never get re-released, not even when Flair took over the distribution of Sylvanian's in 1999. Future squirrel figures used a different mould for their bodies and heads, and had much bushier tails.
