The Brightfield Goat Family
FATHER BILLY BRIGHTFIELD has moved to Sylvania to take up the job of postman. As Sylvania has grown so much over the last few years with more families moving into the village, Pete and Sam, the existing postmen, just cannot keep up with all the mail! Billy is very conscientious and makes sure everyone’s mail is always delivered on time.
MOTHER NANCY BRIGHTFIELD loves to sew and makes tablecloths and curtains for her family home. She is currently making up a large order of gingham cushions for the reading corner at Forest Nursery for the pupils to sit on at story time.
SISTER MANDY BRIGHTFIELD likes reading and writing letters to her friends. Seeing them at school every day just isn't enough for Mandy, and she is constranly jotting down her thoughts and sharing them with her friends. She keeps her father Billy very busy delivering all her letters, but she always makes sure she puts a stamp on!
BABY SISTER JENNY BRIGHTFIELD is never happier than when outdoors and loves to go to Primrose Park to play after nursery every day.
AUNTIE AFTON BRIGHTFIELD is the receptionist in the Country Hospital, a job which certainly keeps her busy. She is a very friendly and jovial lady, which is why she is the perfect choice to be the receptionist at the hospital. Everyone who comes in feeling unwell or under the weather, always cheer up when they see Afton's smile!
The Brightfield Goat family were first released in the UK in 2015, although they had been available in Japan from 2013. When the new hospital range launched in Japan in 2013, the auntie came with a receptionist desk. There were three medical rabbits released also, a nurse, a dentist and a doctor. When the hospital range was launched in the UK the following year, only the nurse and dentist got released. The doctor and receptionist have stayed exclusive to Japan. The Brightfield goats are the third goat family released into the Sylvanian range, coming after the Urban Life family and also the Nettlefield family. The Brightfield are the first to have a child family member, as the other families only had babies. They also use a newer mould than the original goat figures.
