The Woodbrook Beaver Family
FATHER ANDREW WOODBROOK is the proprietor of the Seaside Restaurant at Sea Breeze Cape. He specialises in traditional sea food in his restaurant, with all of the fish served, caught fresh that day and purchased from the fish market by the sea.
MOTHER AUBREY WOODBROOK is kept busy, working alongside her husband in their restaurant. While Andrew is cooking, Aubrey is always front of house, seating the hungry customers and informing them of the daily specials. Each day she cycles down to the fish market to purchase the fish for the daily special.
SISTER EVELYN WOODBROOK loves swimming in the sea with her friends. Summer is her favourite time of the year, as the sun warms the sea and she can spend longer swimming. She loves getting the chance to go on one of the boats, and sail out to the little island in the distance where she can look for treasure.
SISTER EMILY WOODBROOK likes to spend a quiet evening on the jetty to the restaurant watching the sunset. She always has her camera ready to capture the moment. The restaurant walls are adorned with many of her pictures of the coastline. Her father has started selling her pictures to visitors to make Emily some extra pocket money.
BABY BROTHER ETHAN WOODBROOK loves splashing around in the shallow part of the sea on warm summer days. He knows not to go too far into the sea.
The Woodbrook Beaver family were released into the UK range in 2014, as one of the new families from EPOCH, who had taken over the distribution of Sylvanian Families from Flair. They had been available in Japan the previous year. They were released as set of four, with parents, sister and baby. The other sister was an exclusive to Japan, coming as an exclusive figure with a new hospital building. When released in the UK, the Woodbrook family were called the Waters, and given the same names and biographies as the original Waters Beaver family, who look quite different. The new names were given to them from the Sylvanian Family shop, to help newer collectors not get confused with both Beaver families. In the 2015 Sylvanian catalogue, the Woodbrook Beaver family are not shown, giving them a very short run in the collection.
