The Nettlefield Goat Family
FATHER RAMSEY NETTLEFIELD never, ever rushes, he likes to think long and hard before starting anything. His wife claims that his favourite word is “But!”.
“But it's too late to put up shelves.”
“But I have no nails.”
“But why do we need more shelves?”
“But I need to think about it.”
MOTHER CAPRINA NETTLEFIELD is overworked looking after her family. Ramsey always needs nagging and takes forever before he will do anything. Her kids are always eating, and will eat anything and everything, so she has to keep an eye on them at all times. But through it all, Caprina says she wouldn't change them for the world!
BABY TRIPLETS WILLIAM, NANETTE AND BILLY NETTLEFIELD. William's favourite food is Brussels Sprouts, especially when they are cooked with a pinch of basil. Nanette likes spinach best of all and her favourite is spinach in butter. Billy likes potatoes, with his favourite being potatoes in garlic butter. The Nettlefield babies will of course eat anything, from the flowers that Ramsey brought Caprina because he had not finished the shelves, to the bowl of pot-pourri in the front room. Nothing is safe when these three are hungry.
The Nettlefield goat family were first released into the UK Sylvanian range in 1992, as a token collector exclusive. They are based on the Urban Life goat family, released in Japan in the 1980s. They originally consisted of the parents and two babies (the third baby I picked up at a Sylvanian shopping Weekend in Whitchurch). The family got a re-release by Flair in 2005, and were available in most major retailers. They were joined by a new goat family in 2014, which had a child figure amongst the family. As of 2015, Caprina is still waiting for Ramsey to put up her shelves!
